The Way Sports SHOULD Be Reported
Things got pretty chippy in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals last night. Well, until the Bruins went ahead and demolished the Canucks 8-1. And one could argue that Aaron Rome’s vicious hit on Nathan Norton was the catalyst for the demolishment.
So Canucks fans, you now have your whipping boy.

If attendance at Buccaneers and Rays games gave any indication, one would think that Tampa Bay fans aren’t exactly serious about their professional teams. That may be true, but as the bandwagon fills up for the Lightning, it’s definitely not true at the moment. And these Lightning fans are prepared to go to whatever lengths to prove it. Just ask staffers at TD Garden in Boston. They know all about this new breed of serious Tampa Bay fans.

Carmelo Anthony and LaLa Vasquez watched the Arizona vs. Connecticut NCAA game at Southern Hospitality in Hell’s Kitchen Saturday night. Kim Kardashian came to meet LaLa, but proved a big distraction for ex-New York Rangers Bryan Berard, Brian Leetch and Adam Graves across the room. Kim left early, and a spy tells us, “On her way out, the Rangers introduced them selves to her. The guys tried to charm Kim — she was polite but not interested. They even tried getting her phone number.”

Last night’s fight between the Brent Johnson and Rick DiPietro was unusual for a couple of reasons.
For one, the fight was between two goalies. And that almost never happens.
And two, the fight was not really a fight because it lasted all but one punch.
Johnson took exception to DiPietro clotheslining Cooke, a move that sparked a scrum in the right corner of the New York end. The Penguins’ goaltender took off his mask and charged down the ice, leaving DiPietro no honorable recourse but to skate out to meet him.
Referee Rob Martell saw what was coming and met Johnson at the Islanders’ blue line. Johnson, with a move injured teammate Sidney Crosby might bust, went right around Martell to meet up with DiPietro.
He then connected with a hard left to DiPietro’s left cheek.
“He’s got long arms,” said DiPietro, who sported a welt from Johnson’s haymaker.
Yes, that description is great and all, but the video is much better.
Verbal slip up? Yes.
Is there any other way to play hockey other than the white way? Probably not.
Vancouver’s Rick Rypien is a man that cares about the fans. The following video is total evidence of that fact. You see, Rypien understands the undying wish of fans to get as close to the action. So on his way to the penalty box after being hit with a misconduct penalty, Rypien let’s one lucky fan get really close to the action.
Gone are the days when a couple got married, had their first dance, cut the cake, and sent their guest home full and sometimes drunk. These days, it’s just not that simple. There has to be choreographed show.
That fact was definitely not lost on Dan and Angie Adams. Instead of the usual song and dance, they opted to treat their guest with a usual you would usually see during a Chicago Blackhawks-Detroit Red Wings game.
