Major League Baseball umpire Marvin Hudson is a popular man today after his run-in with Washington Nationals Bryce Harper. Hudson tossed Harper in the third inning of Wednesday’s game against the New York Yankees. Harper was tossed when he left the batter’s box while Nationals manager Matt Williams and Hudson got into it.
Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Clippers finished their collapse and lost Game 7 to the Houston Rockets. As we all know, the Clippers held a 3-1 series lead and proceeded to choke away the series. While many Clippers fans are upset right now, fans from another team for a different sport were celebrating.
As I have gotten older, I always wonder where do all of these words that become popular come from. But they become unpopular when the older generation thinks it’s okay for them to start saying them. For example, announcer Michael Kay attempted to try to be cool while commentating the New York Yankees game yesterday.
After this past weekend’s series against the New York Mets, the Miami Marlins have the second worst record in the MLB. The slow start by the Marlins has many in the organization questioning the direction of the team. The upcoming series with the Philadelphia Phillies could decided the fate of manager Mike Redmond.
