I think it has been documented very well on how tough-minded Jacksonville Jaguars executive vice president of football operations Tom Coughlin is. So it comes to no surprise that Coughlin wants to eliminate any distractions in the locker room that could make the players lose focus. Well according to linebacker Telvin Smith, Coughlin told the players to get rid of their ping-pong table.
“I didn’t play ping-pong as much, you know, so it doesn’t matter to me,” Smith said. “But some of my teammate are really good ping-pong players, so maybe they are, so for them, I feel sorry. But, hey, if it’s a distraction, get it out of here.”
This isn’t the first time Coughlin has done something like this as he did the same thing when he was the head coach of the New York Giants. I get the feeling that there will be more changes coming, which I think the Jaguars need anyway.
