As we get closer to the NFL Draft, many teams are still looking into the backgrounds of potential players that they could select. For the past three seasons, LSU running back Leonard Fournette has been the workhorse for his team. But after missing multiple games this season and sitting out the Tigers bowl game, there are some who are not sold on Fournette. According to Albert Breer of MMQB, NFL have questioned Fournette about his passion to play football.
One question that’s faced LSU RB Leonard Fournette concerns his passion for football. And there’s a widespread feeling he’s driven by stardom. My guess is Jacksonville’s Tom Coughlin and Doug Marrone would address that quickly.
While I don’t think Fournette is playing football for stardom, I’m not shocked that teams are trying to make sure before they consider drafting him. Depending on what team selects him, Fournette could make an Ezekiel Elliot type impact this season.
