Defensive tackle Damon Harrison says he would be a SG in the NBA if he wasn’t in the NFL

17199623-mmmainI think there are plenty of players who are in the National Football League that could be a professional in another sport. Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders are two perfect examples of what I am talking about. But they are some players that I just can’t see making that type of transition. New York Jets defensive tackle Damon Harrison, who is 6-foot-4, 350-pounds had hoop dreams back in the day and believes that he would be a shooting guard in the NBA if he wasn’t in the NFL.

IF I WASN’T PLAYING FOOTBALL, I WOULD BE … : ”Playing in the NBA. I’d probably be a short shooting guard, but I’d be in the NBA, and I’m very confident in saying that.”

PLAYED SHOOTING GUARD IN BASKETBALL AT LAKE CHARLES BOSTON ACADEMY: ”I was a pure shooter, man.”

Even if he lost 50 pounds, he would still be 300 pounds and that is not typical shooting guard weight. And 6’4 is pretty short for a shooting guard but if Harrison believes he would’ve of made it, I guess we will have to take his word for it.
