Report: Miami RB Gus Edwards is out for the season with a foot injury

Gus EdwardsThe Miami Hurricanes football season might be the beginning of the end for head coach Al Golden. Many in Coral Gables wanted Golden out after they collapsed at the end of the 2014 season. With running back Duke Johnson off to the NFL, the Hurricanes have two guys who they hope can step up in his place. But the news that came out Sunday might have Hurricanes fans a little concerned going into the season. According to Tim Reynolds of the Associated press, running back Gus Edwards is out for the season with a foot injury.

While I’m not to impressed with Edwards, he was the team’s second leading rusher last season. That leaves the Hurricanes with Joseph Yearby and highly touted Mark Walton to be the main ball carriers this season.
