Nick Saban says RB Bo Scarbrough is suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season

images (66)The Alabama Crimson Tide opened up fall camp on Thursday and are looking to make a run at national title. Head coach Nick Saban spoke with the media after the first day and was upbeat about his team. But Saban surprised everyone with some comments about running back Bo Scarbrough. The highly touted running back injured his knee during spring practice a few months ago and many considered him done for the season. Regardless if he was healthy or not, he won’t be able to play anyway. Saban told reporters that Scarbrough is suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season.

Scarbrough is a little ahead of schedule in practice. He’s not taking contact yet in practice. It will be a while before he can play. Also said he’s suspended for the first four games of the year.

Saban said Scarbrough’s suspension was NCAA-related but didn’t want to get into the specifics.

That is very interesting, but no one expected him to be ready to play by then anyway. I think Alabama fans are more concerned about the health of running back Kenyan Drake.
