Joe Thomas says NFL is like WWE, compares Roger Goodell to Vince McMahon

Joe-Thomas-policy-outdatedThe National Football League has a big problem right now and it starts and ends with commissioner Roger Goodell. Ever since the Ray Rice situation, fans and players have started to lose faith in the commissioner. But what he is trying to do to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has a lot of players speaking out against Goodell. You can add Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Joe Thomas to the list of players that is not happy with his commissioner. Thomas says the NFL is turning it WWE and compares Goodell to Vince McMahon.

“I’m glad that he’s fighting [it],” Thomas said. “Because it’s good for the game. It’s an entertainment business. It’s turning into the WWE really. It’s like the Vince McMahon stuff. Basically Goodell is like Vince McMahon.

“Until there’s information that says otherwise, to me it looked like a sting operation,” Thomas said, referring to how the balls were measured and handled during the AFC Championship Game between the Patriots and Colts.

I think the players are starting to realize that they made a mistake in letting Goodell be judge, jury, and executioner. But as long as the owners love him, Goodell will continue doing whatever he wants.
