Chris Cooley: “Three of the four people who make decisions for the Redskins are on board with his return”

090611-chris-cooley-400The Washington Redskins have had a lot of bad luck with the tight end position this pre-season. The team has lost Niles Paul and Logan Paulsen for the 2015 season. Most believe that Jordan Reed will be the opening day starter but he has been slowed by a hamstring injury. But now a former Redskins player is coming out of retirement and could be an immediate help for the team. Chris Cooley announced on Monday that he is coming out of retirement and would love to join the Redskins. But according to Cooley, not everyone is on board with him coming back to the team.

Cooley hasn’t played in a game since 2012, so no one knows what type of player he is now. Even if the Redskins pass on him, Cooley is confident that another team will pick him up.
