Bill O’Brien: “Jadeveon Clowney will practice on Monday”

029-810x491As we head into the 2nd week of the pre-season, the Houston Texans are looking to improve from their victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Today is August 17 and Texans fans have been waiting for this day to come. Texans head coach Bill O’Brien said that the target date for defensive end Jadeveon Clowney to practice was today. O’Brien was asked about this after their win on Saturday and confirmed that Clowney will practice today, but he won’t do everything.

One week into training camp, coach Bill O’Brien said he expected outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney to be able to practice Aug. 17.

O’Brien said after the 23-10 victory over San Francisco on Saturday night that Clowney will be on the practice field Monday.

“It won’t be a full practice, but he’ll be out there,” O’Brien said.

Sounds like the Texans are planning to bring Clowney alone slowly and I agree with that. I think that they should play in at least one pre-season game before the start of the regular season.
