Suns are concerned about Markieff Morris’s state of mind after trading his brother

images (59)When the Phoenix Suns decided to trade Marcus Morris to the Detroit Pistons, they know that the two brothers were going to be upset. That was made pretty clear by Marcus during his introductory press conference with the Pistons. Marcus told the media that he felt like it was a slap in the face once he found out the Suns traded him.Now they have might have a bigger problem on their hands due to Markieff not speaking to head coach Jeff Hornacek and general manager Ryan McDonough. With that being said, the Suns are  concerned about Markieff’s state of mind after trading his brother.

Nearly three weeks after the trade occurred, McDonough has still not spoken personally with Markieff Morris, who remains the Suns starting power forward.

“Members of the organization have been in contact with Markieff,” McDonough said in a one-on-one interview with Bright Side.

“I think he’s at a reasonable place now,” McDonough said of what he’s heard via others in the organization. “I don’t know if it’s a good place or not. I think he’s processed all of it, he had time to let the rawness, the emotional part of it wear off.”

It seems like McDonough knows that Markieff is pissed off so he is trying to let him cool down. Eventually, McDonough and Hornacek will have to have a face to face talk with Marieff before training camp.
