Report: JuCo has reached out to former FSU QB DeAndre Johnson

i (1)Former Florida State QB DeAndre Johnson is now trying to get his career back on track after getting dismissed from the team. Many believe that it will be hard for Johnson to join a team in a one of the power five conferences, so it looks like he will have to go the JuCo route. It was reported that Johnson was in contact with Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, but he has another option now. According to Luke Stampini of 247 Sports, Iowa Western Community College has reached out to Johnson.

247Sports has learned that coaches from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluff, Iowa have been in contact with the father and lawyer of former Florida State quarterback De’Andre Johnson about possibly continuing his career with the Reivers.

Johnson was dismissed by FSU on July 6 after video was released showing him punch a woman at a local campus bar. The Jacksonville, Fla. native had been enrolled in classes at FSU this past January and was set to begin his freshman season with the Seminoles.

It good to see that Johnson will get another shot to prove to everyone that he made a mistake. Hopefully he takes advantage of this opportunity and mature along the way.
