Bryce Harper doesn’t think Zack Greinke is tough at all

CHKZ3ecUUAAiwbYLos Angeles Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke is on a historic run right now. Greinke is on a 43 2/3 scoreless innings streak right now which is the fourth longest streak since 1961. The Washington Nationals found out how good he was on Sunday afternoon, but their star player didn’t seem to impressed. After going 0-for-3 with two strikeouts, Bryce Harper says he doesn’t think Greinke is tough at all.

“I think he was okay. When you’re getting five to six inches off of the plate, you better win the game,” Harper said. “For me, I don’t think he was very tough. He’s a great pitcher, he does what he does, but when you’re getting six inches off the plate it’s pretty tough to face him.”

“He’s a good pitcher. He’s doing what he’s doing to help that team over there, but I don’t want to give him too much credit because I’ve gotta face him again. That’s the biggest thing. I don’t really want to give him too much credit because of that reason, but he’s a damn good pitcher,” Harper said.

It sound like Harper was a little frustrated by the home plate umpire which led to these comments. Sometimes I wish Harper would take the high road instead of doing this.
