Kyrie Irving tried to FaceTime Iman Shumpert during Game 3 of the NBA Finals

iAs many of you know, Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving is out for the remainder of the NBA Finals. But that hasn’t stopped Irving from rooting his teammates on, like he did from a hospital bed during Game 2. But what Irving tried to do during Game 3 might have been a little too much. Iman Shumpert left the game to headed to the locker room after he injured his shoulder. Irving thought that it would be a good time to FaceTime Shumpert to let him know the team needs him.

“For me, I’m as crazy as trying to FaceTime Iman Shumpert when he goes into the locker room for his shoulder [during Game 3] just to talk to him, just to give him a five minute pep talk about how much we need him,” Irving said. “I sit back now and I’m just an admirer of all these guys.”

I understand that Irving is trying to help, but he is crazy to pull a stunt like this. If he really thought Shumpert was going to answer his call during a NBA Finals game, he might need to head back to the hospital for more test.
