Ken Whisenhunt to Justin Hunter: “Either get it or you won’t be in this league anymore”

635529692667120795-justin-hunter-tennessee-titans-uniformTennessee Titans WR Justin Hunter has always had the potential to be one of the top WRs in the NFL. The problem is getting him to realize that potential and now it seems like the Titans are losing patience with him. Hunter is entering his third season and it is now put up or shut time for the former Tennessee Volunteer. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt says that Hunter has been good this off-season, but then sent out this warning.

“At some point, you either get it or you won’t be in this league anymore. That’s the natural order of the NFL.”

Hunter also knows that he needs to put it all together this season as well.

“I’ve got to get it going,” Hunter said after a mini-camp practice this week. “Going into my third year, I’ve got to improve. I can’t falter in any part of my game.”

“I wouldn’t say I’m pleased or disappointed. I could have done a lot of things better. I know I’m capable of doing better.”

The Titans drafted Dorial Green-Beckham in the second round of the draft who will provide some competition for Hunter as well. Hopefully Hunter puts it all together and becomes the player many thought he would be.
