Jon Jones’ manager says his fighter’s MMA career might be over

images (8)Former UFC champion Jon Jones was scheduled to fight this weekend at UFC 187 but things have changed. After Jones was arrested last week, he was stripped of his title and was suspended indefinitely by Dana White. Jones’ manager Malki Kawa says that his fighter is taking this time to work on himself while he is going through his legal problems. Kawa also believes that regardless if Jones’ suspension is lifted, his MMA career might be over.

“It could very well be the last time we’ve seen Jon Jones in the Octagon,” Kawa told Ariel Helwani on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour. “I think Jon Jones is gonna focus on Jon Jones. I think he’s gonna take the time to do whatever he’s gotta do. And if it’s the last time we’ve seen him fight, it’s the last time we’ve seen him fight. And I’m OK with that.”

It’s a shame that Jones’ career might end this way but getting his life in order is the most important thing.
