Raptors GM Masai Ujir fined $35,000 for comments responding to Paul Pierce

Masai UjiriThe Toronto Raptors are in the playoffs again so it was only a matter of time before general manager Masai Ujir got himself in trouble. Last year, Ujir was fined $25,000 for saying “F**k Brooklyn” during a fan rally before their series against the Nets. Washington Wizards forward Paul Pierce made some comments about the Raptors leading up to their series led to Masai getting in trouble again. The NBA announced that Ujir has been fined $35,000 for saying “We don’t give a s**t about it” on regards to Pierce’s comments.


Toronto Raptors General Manager Masai Ujiri has been fined $35,000 for using obscene language in a public setting on Saturday, April 18 prior to the Raptors’ playoff game against the Washington Wizards, it was announced Sunday by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

In addition, the Toronto Raptors organization has been fined $25,000.


You got to love that Ujir is very passionate about his team but the NBA is letting him know that it won’t be tolerated.
