Marcus Mariota: "I would love to play for the Browns.''

marcus-mariota-ncaa-football-stanford-oregon1-850x560The Cleveland Browns organization might have a difficult decision to make in June. With Johnny Manziel in rehab and Brian Hoyer a free agent, the QB position is in limbo right now. The team just hired Kevin O’Connell as the QB coach, who happened to the guy helping Oregon’s Marcus Mariota get ready for the draft. So you knew that someone was going to ask Mariota if he would be interested in playing for the Browns. The Heisman Trophy winner answer might surprised some of you.

Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota, whom the Browns might consider trading up for, acknowledged that he’d love to be reunited in Cleveland with quarterbacks coach Kevin O’Connell, who prepared him for the draft.

“It’s really out of my control, but that would be an awesome opportunity,” said Mariota.  “I would love to play for the Browns.”

Obviously, this will start-up a lot of speculation among fans and draft analysts on whether the Browns should take Mariota.
