The Ray Rice suspension is not going away any time soon. The NFL has come under fire for only suspending Rice for two games after assaulting his wife. NFL V.P. of Labor Policy and Government Affairs Adolpho Birch appeared on ESPN’s Mike and Mike morning show to address the situation.
Birch struggled to justify the suspension and fans on Twitter noticed as well.
#mikeandmike Adolpho Birch is struggling to make any intelligent defense for the laughable suspension given to Ray Rice.

Adolfo Birch just confirmed, for all on the fence, that the NFL isn't all that concerned about violence against women. #mikeandmike

(1/2) NFL Senior VP says Rice decision has made impact. True. Players now realize smoking pot is 3x worse than domestic abuse. #MikeAndMike

It’s obvious that the NFL dropped the ball with Rice’s suspension. I think it’s now at the point where Roger Goodell will have to say something to slow down this firestorm.
