Last week, we told you how much money the Jacksonville Jaguars and Jacksonville taxpayers are putting up for renovations of EverBank Field. The Jaguars have also been telling us that they will have the world’s largest video board which is supposed to debut July 26. They especially want the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys to know as well.
To do so, the Jaguars have created a billboard taking a little jab at the two Texas franchises saying “Not everything is bigger in Texas.”
That’s the message on a new billboard along I-10 eastbound before the I-95 split.
The team, of course, is boasting about its new video boards that, at 362 feet wide by 60 feet tall, will the world’s largest when they debut July 26 at a friendly soccer game between Fulham FC and DC United, followed by a concert by country music superstar Carrie Underwood.
The new boards will dwarf those at AT&T Stadium (160 feet) and NRG Stadium (277 feet), where the Cowboys and Texans play, respectively.
Hopefully the video boards won’t be the only thing the Jaguars will be known for this season.
