Colorado Rockies left fielder Carlos Gonzales has been dealing with an index finger injury for a few weeks now. An injury that caused Gonzales to leave last night’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Gonzales has become more frustrated due to the fact that no one knows how to heal his injury. Gonzales said he went to see a hand specialist last Thursday, but even the specialist didn’t know how to treat it.
“They’ve said [rest] might not help,” Gonzalez said, who felt pain from the first pitch in his first at-bat. “I really don’t know what to do right now at this point. It’s just really hard. It’s even harder for me to come out of the game over and over again.”
Sounds like this might be something that lingers on throughout the season for Gonzales. Hopefully he recovers after if he’s placed on the 15-day disabled list.
