Indiana Pacers guard Lance Stephenson has been the talk of the Eastern Conference Finals. He got things started by saying that Dwyane Wade knees were shot. Then before game 4, Stephenson told the media that he thought LeBron James’ trash talk was a sign of weakness.
He then followed all that up in game 5 when blew in LeBron’s ear which has now gone viral all over the internet. Some people like that Stephenson is trying to pull out all the stops to get in LeBron’s head. But other don’t. One person who is not to happy with Stephenson’s ear blowing tactic was team president Larry Bird. Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today spoke to Bird via text message and it’s safe to say that Bird wasn’t to thrilled.
But if you thought the actual incident was funny and entertaining, there’s one important man who doesn’t.
Asked via text message if he were bothered by Stephenson blowing in James’ ear, Pacers president Larry Bird replied, “Yes I am.”
With Stephenson due to be a free agent at the end of this season, I’m sure Bird will take into account of all the things that Stephenson is doing.
