Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice was arrested on Saturday after what Rice’s attorney calls “very minor physical altercation”.
Security was called at 2:05 am on Saturday morning the Revel Casino in Atlantic City after video surveillance captured the altercation between Rice and his fiancé Janay Palmer. According to the police report, footage shows that Rice and Palmer both participated in the physical altercation. The report also states that “both Rice and Palmer struck each other with their hands.”
Both Rice and Palmer were charged refused medical attention and were charged with simple assault-domestic violence.
The Ravens are aware of the arrest and have been in touch with Rice.
According to Chad Steele, the Ravens’ director of public relations: “We are aware of the Friday night situation with Ray Rice and his fiancee. We have spoken with Ray, and know that they returned home together after being detained.”
