The mayor of East Rutherford finally has tickets to the Super Bowl

052510mayor7CSMeet James Cassella. He’s the mayor of East Rutherford, New Jersey. The same East Rutherford, New Jersey that Super Bowl will be played in on Sunday.

One would think that being the mayor of the city the Super Bowl is being played would allow you some nice perks during the Super Bowl festivities, the biggest one being tickets to the game. But for Cassella, that wasn’t the case as the Super Bowl committee felt that being the mayor of a host city was not reason enough to have tickets to the game.

But luckily for Cassella, a knight in shining armor in the person of Colts owner Jim Irsay, swooped in and saved the day.

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay learned of Cassella’s inability to obtain a ticket, and through his chief operating officer, was able to get him two tickets.

If Casella is planning to thank Irsay with a night on the town either before or after the game, I was urge him to be cautious. Because as we all know, Jim Irsay may or may not know when to say when.
