Ole Miss’s Marshall Henderson knows how to bring the worst out of someone. Near the end of the Rebels 82-63 beat down of the Bulldogs, Henderson starts talk trash while leaving the court and Mississippi State Rick Ray coach was not too pleased.
As Henderson walked by Ray with 6.3 seconds remaining he appeared to say, “F*ck you, State,” and then it appears as if Ray said, “F*ck you,” back at Henderson.
Ray issued this apology shortly afterwards:
“I responded inappropriately to an Ole Miss player [Saturday] in our game,” Ray said in a statement he texted Sunday. “I reached out to [Ole Miss] coach [Andy] Kennedy immediately to apologize and subsequently to the player too. There is no reason for a coach to ever have interaction with an opposing player, ever, regardless of the circumstances. I was more upset with our performance than the player. I was totally at fault.”
I’m pretty sure Ray is not the first coach that wanted to say F**k you to Marshall Henderson, but most coaches probably say it in their heads.
