Shabazz Muhammad already had naysayers and plenty detractors. And the last thing he needed was to find himself in the news for something negative before he even took the court for the Minnesota Timberwolves. But that’s exactly where he finds himself today.
According to USA Today, Muhammad was sent home from the NBA’s Transition Program for rookies after a being caught with a female in his hotel room. Which is against the rules of the program.
Minnesota Timberwolves rookie guard Shabazz Muhammad was sent home from the NBA’s Rookie Transition Program for violating of a rule and bringing a female guest into his hotel room Tuesday evening, a person familiar with situation told USA TODAY Sports.
The person requested anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to speak publicly about the situation.
Just hours before Muhammad was sent home, players were given the rules for the program, which included no guests unless approved by program administrators.
Muhammad will also be subject to a fine for being sent home.
