Ron Jaworski: Colin Kaepernick could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever

Colin-KaepernickThere are two things that I’m beginning to notice about ESPN NFL Analyst Ron Jaworksi.

  1. He likes to make very strong statements about quarterbacks in the NFL. (See: Joe Flacco has the strongest arm in the NFL)
  2.  He likes to make very strong statements about quarterbacks in the NFL that cause most to roll their eyes. (Also see: Joe Flacco has the strongest arm in the NFL)

Jaworski’s latest strong statement about a NFL quarterback that will cause most to roll their eyes is about Colin Kaepernick, the 49ers quarterback that burst onto the scene late last season and led the 49ers to the Super Bowl.

After only seeing Kaepernick play in 10 games, Jaworski is convinced that Kaepernick is a top NFL quarterback. But not only is he convinced that Kaepernick is a top NFL quarterback, he’s convinced that he “could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever.”

Please hold your eye rolling until the end. Thank you.

“I truly believe Colin Kaepernick could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever,” Jaworski said Wednesday on ESPN. “I love his skill set. I think the sky’s the limit.”

Now what’s interesting is that even Kaepernick himself realizes that it may be a little too early to be throwing around “one of the greatest quarterbacks ever.”

Kaepernick was asked how he handles such lofty projections.
“I’m working,” he responded. “To me, it’s a great honor he said that. I’m very flattered by it. But at the same time, I haven’t played a full season yet.”

Okay, now you can commence to rolling your eyes.

  1. Who gives a frick if he’s the greatest. It means about as much as the kid on the school ground who can spit farther or in high school can shoot a load the farther. Or the one who can suck his own thing
