The Louisville men’s basketball team can’t attend women’s title game because the NCAA considers it an ‘extra benefit’

louisvilleThe Louisville men’s basketball team took care of their business on Monday night winning the national title by beating Michigan 82-76. But the men’s team isn’t the only Louisville team playing for a national title. The women’s team is also playing a national title when they take on Connecticut Tuesday night.

Now what would be better than the men’s team, who just won a title, heading over to New Orleans to cheer on the women’s team as they attempt to do the same? Nothing right?

Well once again, the NCAA, who supports student athletes, has decided to once again stand in the way of a good thing because they claim the trip to New Orleans would be an ‘extra benefit’.

Thanks for taking care of all the important issues, NCAA.
