Something that shouldn’t surprise anyone is that the Jets as an organization are not in agreement over whether or not they are trading Darrell Revis. Despite reportedly shopping Revis during the combine, the Jets have yet to find a suitor for their best player. And that fact has GM John Idzik expecting that Revis will be with the Jets next season.
On the flipside, Jets owner Woody Johnson says they are listening to any and all offers despite stating that he would “love” Revis to remain a Jet.
“It’s not one player,” Johnson said from the NFL Annual Meeting in Phoenix, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. “If you don’t look at the whole 53, you’re not going to make it.”
He added, “If somebody wants to make an offer to one of our players, you have to listen.”
Meanwhile, Revis was paid a $1 million bonus on Saturday so it’s easy to see why Idzik is suddenly expecting Revis to remain a Jet.
