Apparently last night was the night for tempers to flare around college basketball. In South Bend, Notre Dame and St. John’s ended their game with a brawl. And in Columbia, Missouri coach Frank Haith had to be restrained from going after Arkansas coach Mike Anderson.
This was the first time Anderson had been back in Columbia after leaving Missouri to coach the Razorbacks, and emotions were apparently running high. So high that the postgame handshake between Haith and Anderson turned into Haith having to be restrained.
After the game, Haith chalked the altercation up to just a bit of miscommunication.
“Miscommunication,” Mizzou coach Frank Haith said. “I’m emotional. I was emotional for my team. I was encouraging my team, and I think he thought I was saying something else.”
As for the game itself, Missouri rolled the Razorbacks 93-63 much to the delight of Tiger fans and former players like Kim English.
Lets Goooooooooooo!! Don’t stop!! #Haith
