Much to the chagrin of Packers fans, receiver Greg Jennings signed with rival Minnesota. That alone is enough to piss off Packers fans. But Jennings shared a detail about his decision that will surely piss of Packers fans even more.
In an interview with KFAN in Minneapolis, Jennings told Paul Allen that former Packer and Viking Brett Favre helped Jennings make the decision to sign with Vikings.
“Literally, as I got off the plane and (offensive coordinator Bill) Musgrave walked up to me, I’m on the phone with Brett,” Jennings said. “I spoke with Brett two or three times throughout this process. He shot me straight. I knew if there was one person that would shoot straight and tell me exactly what I wanted to hear and things I possibly didn’t want to hear, it would be Brett. He did that for me.”
Jennings now joins Favre, Darren Sharper and Ryan Longwell as former Packers that joined the Vikings in their career. Can’t wait for when an old and grey Aaron Rodgers joins the Vikings too down the road.
