OJ Simpson is serving a 33-year sentence for kidnapping and armed robbery. And though we haven’t heard much about Simpson’s life behind bars, besides a bogus report of him being beat up, it seems Simpson is living a decent life.
Case in point, the NY Posts’ report that Simpson invited a group of his inmate friends to his cell to gather around his television on Super Bowl Sunday. Yes that’s right. OJ Simpson threw a Super Bowl party in his jail cell.
O.J. Simpson held a Super Bowl party in his cell at Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada, where he’s serving a 33-year sentence for kidnapping and armed robbery. Simpson is one of the few inmates who has his own TV, reports The Post’s Richard Johnson, so his friends crammed into his 80-square-foot cell to watch. “If you have the money, you can buy a TV at the inmate store and put it in your cell,” Simpson’s producer friend Norman Pardo said. There was no shortage of potential guests because he’s so popular. “He’s like the Godfather of the prison now,” Pardo said of the one-time NFL great.
OJ Simpson: Godfather of the prison. That’s certainly fitting.
