Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant reportedly had a heated exchange after New Year’s Day loss

Things are exactly going the way Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard thought it would when team assembled their own Big 3 of Nash, Bryant, and Howard. They had to fire Mike Brown, Nash has barely been on the court, and some believe they have no shot at a NBA title.

But putting all that aside, there’s a bigger issue brewing in Los Angeles: Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant are having problems coexisting. In the past month alone, the two openly yelled at one another on the court about defensive rotations. And now, the NY Daily News is reporting that the two had a heated exchange after the Lakers’ loss to the Sixers on New Year’s Day.

A league source told the Daily News that the Lakers stars got into a heated exchange following a New Year’s Day loss to the 76ers, and Bryant went for a low blow – referencing and agreeing with Shaquille O’Neal’s criticisms of Howard being soft.

Howard was restrained from going at his teammate, according to the source, and there have been rumblings from the center’s camp that he’s been unhappy with Bryant since earlier in the season.

Yep, things are quickly going down the drain in Los Angeles.
