The Charlotte Observer in some ways has provided its readers with the state of the Carolina Panthers at different parts of the season. First, there was the optimism around the team when Ryan Kalil took out a full page ad promising fans a trip to the Super Bowl. Then, there was the criticism of Cam Netwon in the person of Hello Kitty. And now finally, fans have turned their attention to owner Jerry Richardson and what a group of fans who took out a full page ad in Monday’s Observer called, “The Panthers Pyramid Scheme”.
A group that is calling themselves the “Perturbed Panther PSL Owners Federation” took out a rather thorough full page ad criticizing Richardson for creating what they call a “pyramid scheme” involving PSLs and season-tickets. A scheme that the group says is making tons of money while the team continues to suck. Welcome to the NFL, Panthers fans.
