Suddenly, Nick Saban thinks winning your division should matter in determining BCS bowls

If you ever needed proof that Nick Saban only cares about “fairness” when it benefits him or his team, this is it.

When asked about how he feels about the loser of Saturday’s SEC Championship dropping below the Florida Gators and losing a spot in the Sugar Bowl, Saban says that it isn’t fair. And to top it off, he goes as far as to say that since Florida didn’t win the SEC East, they should not play in the Sugar Bowl.

“It’s not really a great scenario for either team,” he said on a teleconference Sunday. “You play your way into the championship game, which means you’re the best team in your division. It doesn’t seem quite right. I don’t feel good about it for our football team or their football team.”

Oh really, Nick?

Kinda like it didn’t seem quite right for your team to play for the National Title last season despite not winning your division?

Just stop.
