Neal Jones of KCTV-5 reported on the warm postgame reception he received from Kansas City Chiefs fans after the Broncos 17-9 win of the Chiefs on Sunday. But the focus of Jones’ report quickly changed from the reception from Chiefs fans, to the reception of a couple of Chiefs players.
Running back Jamaal Charles and receiver Dwayne Bowe both were part of the reception of Manning with Charles asking for his autograph and Bowe posing for a picture with him.
Bowe made no bones about taking a picture with Manning saying, “It’s a legend, I guess. It’s Peyton Manning. Who wouldn’t want a picture with him? If you had an opportunity, would you take it?” But Charles, seemingly embarrassed to be caught on video asking for an autograph, muttered that it was “for his mother” before quickly walking away.
And of course, the report doesn’t end without the local outfit criticizing the two for their postgame attitude with statements like, “it just goes to show about what this team’s about.”
