Florida fans took out an ad in the UGA student newspaper promising a win by 3 touchdowns

On Saturday, the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” will convene in Jacksonville for the Florida-Georgia game. The rivalry itself is big on its own, but because of the rankings on the two teams, the game is even bigger.

Florida comes into the game undefeated and ranked No. 2 in the BCS and Georgia is 6-1 and ranked No. 10. So the outcome will not on affect the SEC East race, but also the National title race. But just when you thought the rivalry couldn’t get more heated, Florida fans go and take out an ad in the UGA student newspaper promises a 3 touchdown win for the Gators.

Our only question is who on the UGA student newspaper staff approved this ad?

  1. George Murphy says:

The smartest person on the paper, this will make Georgia players play twice as hard. And I hope it works’s, tired of all of this gator hype.

    • UF Being ranked #2, uh no. Another good thing today, Florida , didnt get any home town ref call. They play any of the big boys in red, they wont win.Alabama would beat them bad and beat up those gators.

  2. Layne Ross says:

Now come on, I’m a Gator but do you really believe some Florida fans posted that? The game is always special and hard fought, no matter whose got a better record or ranking. The part that sealed the fact its not some Gator fans is promising a three touchdown win. Nobody from Florida would provide that kind of material for the Dawgs to savor.

  3. Nonsense. The same rehtoric that has been spewed on the Atlanta Sport shows all week. This ad was a Georgia product…trying to infuse some anger for the dawgs. Just play the game the best team will win.
