First, there was an Oklahoma man who thanked his family, all his friends, and “Boomer Sooner” before being executed. And then, there was the Texas man that shouted “Go Cowboys” minutes before he was executed.
Our latest journey down this road involves a Texas man convicted of killing five people at a Dallas-area car wash. Robert Wayne Harris was executed on Thursday evening, but before he met his maker, he had a farewell remark about the Texas Rangers.
“I’m going home. I’m going home,” Harris said. “Don’t worry about me. I’ll be alright. God bless, and the Texas Rangers, Texas Rangers.”
