Chris Johnson is not to blame for Titans’ rushing woes, according to Chris Johnson

After his opening week performance of 4 yards on 11 carries, Chris Johnson was able to at least keep his sense of humor. But after Week 2’s performance of 17 yards on 8 carries, Titans fans are looking for someone to blame.

And though, most believe that Johnson should be shoulder some of the blame, Johnson does not. Which shouldn’t be too much of a surprise since he’s already on record saying that, people (other than Johnson of course) need to step up and do their job.

“I’m never perfect. Even when I went for 2,000 (yards), I wasn’t thinking I was perfect,” Johnson said Thursday. “But I wouldn’t sit here and say I’m to blame.”

Not to blame at all?

“I wouldn’t think so, but I’m not the guy to sit here and be the guy that points fingers,” Johnson said. “It’s a situation where I’m only going to be as good as my line is going to be, so we have to work together and get better together.

“I don’t think I missed no big plays or anything like that. It’s just a situation where we really haven’t had the opportunity to stay on the field and really get into the running game.”

Looks like that sense of humor from Week 1 is long gone.
