USC turned to Living Social to help sell tickets for home opener against Hawaii

With USC being ranked #3 in the preseason coaches’ poll and #1 in the AP preseason poll, you’d think that the school would have no issues selling tickets this season.

But apparently, they may indeed have issues unloading tickets since they had to turn to social deal website Living Social to sell tickets for their home opener against Hawaii.

By the time that the deal expired on Thursday, 1,461 tickets had been sold for $37. A full 50% off the regular ticket price of $74.

We know that there are unlimited things to do in Los Angeles, but you’d think that the locals would come out in droves to watch a BCS National Championship contender.

Westwood Community College (some call it UCLA) is on the other side of the City of Los Angeles and really too many Bruins have no clue what a BCS team looks like… so that group will not be in attendance.

Also many of the Adult Performers in the San Porn-ando Valley will be resting up for their evening shifts pole-dancing, so that eliminates a few hundred more….

That leaves the USC Trojan faithful plus the band wagon fans…..
