Buccaneers cornerback Eric Wright was arrested early Monday morning on felony DUI charges in downtown Los Angeles.
According to police, Wright was part of an injury accident involving a Chevy Silverado pickup and a Mercedes SLS luxury sports coup. Upon arriving on the scene, police were told by Wright that “he had been drinking earlier at a friend’s home in the Hollywood area.” Wright also refused to submit to a Breathalyzer or field sobriety test.
Police arrested and charged Wright on a felony DUI charge because the accident caused an injury.
