Anthony Davis sprains ankle, unlikely to play in the Olympics

The big man situation has gotten even worse today. With Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, and Chris Bosh already out of the Olympics, Hornets rookie and #1 overall draft pick Anthony Davis looks to be out as well after spraining his ankle.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Y! Sports, Davis severely sprained his ankle in a workout on Saturday. Though Davis could be ready for the USA team training camp in Las Vegas, Davis and the Hornets reportedly do not want to risk his participation.

So that leaves an already thin crop of big men with the likes of Kevin Love, Blake Griffin, and Tyson Chandler. The injury may also open the door for names like Roy Hibbert and DeMarcus Cousins.
