Floyd Mayweather requests to get out of jail early, judge denies request

Just 12 days into his 90 day sentence for domestic abuse, Floyd Maythweather requested that he be put on house arrest citing a decline in health that could ruin his career. Mayweather argued that he was dehydrated from lack of water and that he was only getting 800 calories a day. Mayweather’s attorney also went as far as to say it was “inhumane” for Mayweather to be in jail with felon since he was only convicted of a misdemeanor.

Despite Mayweather’s complaints, Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa denied his request and blamed Mayweather for his issues.

Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa put out a three-page order and decision late this afternoon. She said the sentence was appropriate.

She also said his claim that he was dehydrated and his estimate that he was consuming only 800 calories a day was “self induced.” He has chosen not to eat the jail food provided and has water available 24 hours a day, she said. Addressing another of his complaints, she said Mayweather has sufficient time and space to exercise.

Guess Mayweather will be riding this one out. Good try though, Floyd.
