Pictured on the left is a golf ball marker with a picture of Michael Jackson on it. Normally, this wouldn’t be news (and maybe it still isn’t) but since Nick Saban owns one just like it, we’re definitely posting about it.
While Saban was playing in the Chik-fil-A Bowl Challenge in Greensboro on Tuesday his novelty ball marker began to catch people’s eyes. Once asked about his novelty ball marker, Saban reveals that he got it as a joke stemming from his affinity for playing Michael Jackson in his car.
After the round, Saban patiently took questions from reporters and signed autographs for a dozen fans. He cracked a small grin when he was asked about a ball marker with the picture of the late pop music singer Michael Jackson that he had clipped to the top of his Cabana hat.
“It was a practical joke played on me because when we played LSU the first time, ESPN was in my car and Michael Jackson was playing [on the car stereo],” Saban said. “My buddies that I play golf with got me a Michael Jackson marker.”
Let’s just take a moment and envision Nick Saban sitting in his car singing, “Bad”.
Quite a visual.
