A swarm of bees briefly took over Coors Field

A swarm of bees briefly stopped this afternoon’s game between the Rockies and the Diamondbacks. Play was halted for about four minutes when the bees chased Diamondbacks first base coach Eric Young, Sr. away from his position. The game has resumed and a bee keeper is apparently on the way.

The photo above gives you a glance into just how bad the bee problem is/was.

Now with video.

  1. Do Your Research says:

Eric Young is the first base coach of the DBacks not Rockies. You wrote 3 sentences in that short paragraph and manged to get 33 percent of it wrong. Good job.

    • S. Evans says:

Good catch. The article that was linked has Young as the Rockies first base coach so we thought that was accurate.

Guess we can’t name every first base coach in MLB like you obviously can. Bet that skill is working out for you well.
