Lakers are reportedly growing tired of Andrew Bynum’s antics

When Andrew Bynum took and missed that ill advised three pointer on Tuesday night, we wondered aloud if Mike Brown was losing control of the Lakers. He had just benched Kobe Bryant and now Bynum was openly brushing his authority to the side. Things certainly didn’t look good for Brown.

But according to a report from the Daily News, things are starting to not look good for Andrew Bynum. Apparently Brown, the front office, and his teammates are “annoyed” by Bynum’s behavior on and off the court. And that ill advised three pointer was “just the tip of the iceberg”.

All-Star center Andrew Bynum’s ill-advised 3-pointer, which prompted coach Mike Brown to bench him for most of the second half of Tuesday’s win over the Golden State Warriors, was only “the tip of the iceberg,” according to a Lakers insider.

Bynum’s shot was the latest in a catalogue of items that have annoyed Brown, his staff, the players and team management over the past few weeks. Brown had seen enough and decided to sit the 7-footer for all but 5minutes, 17 seconds of the second half.

The 24-year-old Bynum has played loud music in the Lakers’ locker room, which has been frowned upon over the years. He also has been disrespectful to members of the coaching staff and to his teammates for about the past three weeks.

You have to believe changes are coming to the Lakers this summer anyhow. The question now becomes whether or not Bynum is part of the changes.
