With Wins Hard To Come By Against The Hawks, Dwight Howard Turns To Hecklers In The Crowd

The last week or so has been very frustrating for Dwight Howard. Not because of his poor play, but because of his teammates’ poor play. Poor play that has the Orlando Magic down 3-1 to the Atlanta Hawks.

Yes, the Atlanta Hawks.

Howard’s frustration finally hit its boiling yesterday during the Magic’s 88-85 loss to the Hawks when a few hecklers got under Howard’s skin. Desperate for any type of victory that he could get, he challenges the hecklers to a game of one-on-one. Because that’s what NBA players desperate for victories do.

Howard came over to the press table to exchange barbs with a couple of trash-talking fans during a break in the third quarter. “You’re the biggest whiner in the league,” one of them said. “You wanna come out here and play me?” Howard responded. “I’m averaging 33 points a game. Just keep drinking your beer.” …

That definitely sounds like a man that won’t be playing in Orlando much longer.

Not sure how I just came to that conclusion, but I did.

The Magic teams are going to have to find a way to make some significant changes in the off season. It’s obvious now the trade was a mistake the Magic would be more competitive right now with the players they had before the trade.
