Miami Hurricanes Linebacker Ramon Buchanan Arrested For Battery On A Cop, Suspended Indefinitely

Al Golden’s first season in Coral Gables couldn’t have gotten off to a rockier start. Before even coaching his first game, he’s had to suspend six players for the season opener and now starting linebacker Ramon Buchanan has been arrested on felony battery on a cop charges.

University of Miami starting linebacker Ramon Buchanan was arrested Friday and faces several charges, including felony resisting a police officer with violence, according to court documents.

Hurricanes coach Al Golden announced Monday night that Buchanan has been suspended indefinitely.

The incident occurred in Coconut Grove, minutes from campus, according to a UM source.

Buchanan, 21, was charged with resisting a police officer with violence and battery on a police officer, firefighter or emergency medical care provider, both of which are felonies.
