Jadeveon Clowney Isn’t Impressed With Alabama Coach Nick Saban

Jadeveon Clowney

Yesterday morning, the nation’s top recruit Jadeveon Clowney ended his recruitment by committing to South Carolina. But whether he knows it or not, he may have stirred up some controversy. Clemson and Alabama were the other finalist for Clowney, and he had some interesting things to say about Alabama’s head coach Nick Saban.

We all know that Saban gets a lot of respect from his coaching peers and others that follow college football. So when Saban made an in home visit to Clowney, Clowney just didn’t understand what the hype was about.

“I don’t see no big deal like everybody else,” he said later. “They’d say, ‘He’s the king of all of football.’ The guy ain’t nothing but 5-5. He’s a short guy. Everybody’s going crazy on Nick Saban.”

Clowney also made it known that he couldn’t get a word in with Saban.

“Nick Saban’s going to take over and talk,” Clowney said. “He talked the whole time he was there. I was dozing off. He can talk. A lot. He talked for a whole straight hour.”

Well, I guess Clowney is about to become public enemy #1 in Tuscaloosa.

  1. Of course I am not surprised at this comment from the big head number one recruit. I guess if S. Carolina plays Alabama he might have to "eat" his words. I would love to see that!!!

  2. Maybe you forgot the last time Bama ran into the Gamecocks– they didn't win.

  3. According to reports concerning his grades and I.Q., listening to Saban is not the only time he catches up on sleep. Just another teenager playing media and (fan)aticals like a cheap violin.

  4. So is Clowney saying that Steve Spurrier came to his house and didn't talk?
