Meet the Cleveland Browns’ next (ex) Head Coach

Pat ShurmurThe Cleveland Browns and team president, Mike Holmgren, have decided to hire Rams former offensive coordinator, Pat Shurmur, as their new head coach.

The Browns have been searching for success and consistency since coming back to Cleveland in 1999.

The team has had only postseason appearance since 1999, with no wins.

In the NFL, aside from the Raiders head coaching gig, this is as inauspicious as it comes. No coach dreams of coaching the Cleveland Browns, but hey it’s a job.

As far as Shurmur’s first head coaching gig goes, I’ll give him 3 years and he’ll be done. I’m not a hater, but this team, the franchise itself, is the quintessential train wreck of the NFL, of course along with the Raiders.
